Many of us today have become aware of the dangers of eating unhealthy. Even the fast food outlets have been fashioning their menus to satisfy their health conscious clientele. There isn’t much really when you’re looking for a guide to eating eating. The main thing that you would need to know and understand is the food pyramid diagram. It gives you a rough idea of just how much from each food group you’re supposed to consume in a day. Just make sure you eat from each food group everyday.

And the food groups include the carbohydrates or starches group where you’ll find your breads, cereals and grains. From this food group, try and eat whole wheat or rather whole grain varieties as these will be more nutritious than their refined counterparts. Examples include brown bread, brown rice, bran flakes and the like. The other food groups include fruits and vegetables, the proteins group where you have your meats, poultry and fish. You also have the dairy products group and the fats, oils and sweets food group. These foods are the building blocks to leading a healthy eating lifestyle. It’s important that you eat the right amounts from each food group.
